Call for Edinburgh Napier current students: Let’s start a student-led Enterprise Society!

July 19, 2017

Vladimir Ivanov (Edinburgh Napier student, soon to be graduate) and I (Cilla Richards – recent Edinburgh Napier graduate and employee), have decided to officially set up an Enterprise Society at Edinburgh Napier University. However, since we’re not current students (Vlad won’t be for long), we can’t do it alone!

The society will not only be focused on starting your own business – it is an invite to everyone and anyone interested in being efficient, effective, creative, self and socially aware, whilst being able to thrive in uncertain times – both in a personal and professional sense. In short, anyone interested in developing an enterprising mind-set and who recognises its value.

We’re planning on meeting on 24th August 2017 with those Edinburgh Napier students who would like to be part of the society and help create it (yes, hopefully that’s you!). On this date we’ll set out the society’s aims, goals, and activities throughout the upcoming academic year, as well as decide who will fill the positions of President, Secretary, Treasurer plus more. To emphasize, the positions will be chosen by the group, not by Vlad and myself! Also, it would be an awesome achievement to add to your CV.

We plan to also be joined by two speakers (one entrepreneur and one intrapreneur) at the meeting, who will set the scene and talk about the importance of developing an enterprising mind-set from their various points of view. Speaker names to be announced closer to the date.

If you’re interested in getting involved and attending our first meeting to plan the society’s application, please secure a ticket to our upcoming event here.
