Elevate Your Pitch – Introducing Your Business Idea Quickly, Creatively and Engagingly

From people you meet in the elevator or exchanging a few words at networking events, throwing yourself into pitching competitions could be the next step in pushing your career towards the throne of success and being your own boss!

Do you have a budding business idea and are in need of funding to develop your business further? Join us at 11am on Tuesday, 15 May 2018to learn the top tips in delivering an elevator pitch in as little as 60 seconds.

This workshop will introduce methods and co-creation techniques to support student entrepreneurs to build their skills and confidence for creating a compelling 60-second Elevator Pitch. You’ll learn how to concisely present your concept in three succinct sentences, perfect your 60-second elevator pitch using proven methods and techniques throughout this interactive session.

You also will learn more about NACUE’s Varsity Pitch Competition and how to prepare your application. This is a national early stage business pitching competition that celebrates the best businesses coming out of colleges and universities across the UK. Find more information here and get inspired!

Who facilitates this workshop?

The course is developed by NACUE, a leading charitable organisation for engaging students in enterprise and dedicated to supporting, connecting and representing student entrepreneurs worldwide.

Working with college and university students, NACUE provides individuals with opportunities to boost their skills, confidence and aspirations through student-led enterprise societies and their practical programmes and inspiring events. By joining this workshop, you will be taught by one or more of NACUE’s experts – Holly Knower and Yani Vladimirova.

Holly Knower
Holly is NACUE’s CEO having joined the organisation in 2013, directly supporting the development of enterprise societies within Further Education Colleges in London. Throughout the last 3 years she has supported various forms of students engagement, from working with small groups of learners launching student ventures on campus, running bootcamp weekends and watching young people flourish in 24 hours, to seeing thousands of young people energised after experiencing NACUE events.

As an alumni of the University of the Creative Arts, from a creative background, she is passionate about the importance of providing a practical and hands on education within a safe space, encouraging the younger generation to reach their potential from any academic background.

Yani Vladimirova

Yani is NACUE’s Enterprise Engagement Manager, building and developing a national community of enterprising students and entrepreneurs by fostering a collaboration to support their growth, development and sustainability. With a background in the open innovation and advertising world, she also contributes to service design and development for the NACUE’s programmes to support student societies and institutions as well as bringing a new perspective to NACUE’s regional events and membership services.

Throughout her MA course, she co-founded a collective group called NX Creative Lab, a non-profit entrepreneurial incubator established in 2014 as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. With a passion for human-centred design and community architecture, her objectives are to support aspiring students and entrepreneurs to create valuable enterprises by driving collaboration, sustainable change and innovation.
