I have lived in the pursuit of a vision, both personal and social. Personal: to care for what is noble, for what is beautiful, for what is gentle; to allow moments of insight to give wisdom at more mundane times. Social: to see in imagination the society that is to be created, where individuals grow freely, and where hate and greed and envy die because there is nothing to nourish them. These things I believe, and the world, for all its horrors, has left me unshaken.

I graduated from Napier with a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Business Management & returned in September to undertake Msc.
Currently I’m social media manager and dedicated committee member of Edinburgh Napier’s Enterprise Society. This involves planning events, advertising to potential members and keeping content relevant and interesting.
During my undergraduate I had the chance to work with SMEs, interviewing and advising them for modules such as the Entrepreneurial Consultancy Project. Through this and the shared sense of achievement from helping small business owners overcome obstacles; I came to realise I would really enjoy consultancy as a career.
The variety of modules I’ve undertaken give me a good range of areas which I can advise on. Numerous entrepreneurial based modules provided an overview of the entire business from ideation and procuring resources to finance, marketing and launch. All of the modules in between gave me a deeper insight into each of these key areas and more such as sustainability, sales & innovation.
Currently my key interests lie in social enterprises due to the direct impact they can have on communities and SMEs as a whole as the future innovators, job creators and larger businesses of the future.
