Applications for Creative Informatics Resident Entrepreneurs open now!

Applications for the second round of Resident Entrepreneurs are open now. If you are an individual or small team working in Edinburgh/South East Scotland that would like to develop an innovative creative product or service using data or data-driven technologies, you can apply for funding of up to £12,000 to support your work. Successful applicants will be matched with a host organisation that will provide office space, insight and support for the duration of your project.

Current Resident Entrepreneurs include audio design company Black Goblin Audio, ethical fashion and beauty search engine STATEMENTS, new media artist Martin Disley, and music asset management platform Delic.

Resident Entrepreneur applications should be made in alignment with at least one of the following Creative Informatics innovation challenges:

  • 1) Developing access to and engagement with new audiences and markets
  • 2) Developing new modalities of experience
  • 3) Unlocking the value of archives and data sets
  • 4) Exploring new business models for the creative industries

Open calls for Resident Entrepreneur applications open twice a year in April and October, with up to nine projects selected per call. The deadline for round 2 applications is 25 November 2019.
