Our latest academy, held at Merchiston Campus, was a great success! We had a diverse cohort of students, staff, and alumni, all with different backgrounds and interests. From photography and film to marketing, UX design, personal training and app development, we covered a wide range of industries.
The day was filled with insightful discussions and workshops, where we covered topics, such as discovering your why, defining your values, marketing, pricing strategies, managing finances, and much more. Our goal was to equip our attendees with the skills and confidence they need to launch and grow their freelance careers.
One of the highlights of the academy was our barrier board, where attendees shared common barriers, they faced when it came to freelancing. Money, timing, how to find sales, pricing and confidence were just a few of the challenges that came up. Together, we discussed strategies to overcome these barriers and turn them into opportunities for growth.
After lunch, attendees had the chance to network and connect with one another. We even played a fun game of rock-paper-scissors to get everyone refocused and energized for the rest of the day!
At Bright Red Triangle, we're committed to helping our community unleash their freelance potential. Since the launch of our Freelance Academy, over 500 people have attended, and we plan to run these academies frequently throughout the year.
