Bright Red Sparks
As many of you know, we were planning to hold our Bright Red Sparks awards ceremony on Thursday, 9 April, at The Balmoral Hotel. After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel the awards ceremony, however competition winners will still be announced online as planned on Thursday, 9 April. We will update you with further information closer to the date on how you can find out about our Bright Red Sparks winners and potential low-key celebrations later this year, if this is possible.
BRT Incubator Spaces
As it stands, our Merchiston and Craiglockhart incubator spaces are now closed and will be for the foreseeable future until further notice. We will of course be in touch as and when we have further updates.
If you or your business have a BRT incubator address as your mailing address, we would encourage you to change your mailing address as soon as possible if you are expecting any important/urgent communications. If you need to get in contact with our team regarding mail, please do so by email here.

Advice for Freelancers and SMEs
We are aware of the potential impacts that COVID-19 will have on many freelancers and small-to-medium sized businesses not only nationally, but globally. Our Business Advisers are on hand to advise any of our members being impacted. More importantly, we have created a webpage here with the latest advice for freelancers and SMEs including loans and grants available. This webpage will be updated regularly by our team with live information as and when we become aware of any further support available for you and your business during this uncertain time. Of course, our Business Advisers are also on hand for business advice meetings via Skype or phone to discuss any further business challenges you may be facing.
In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact our team via email here.
