As many of you already know, Bright Red Triangle is Edinburgh Napier University’s hub for innovation and enterprise. At Bright Red Triangle, we support students, staff, and alumni of the university to develop their own ideas, entrepreneurial skills, and start their own businesses.
We wanted to update you on a couple of changes that have been made recently in regards to our services that have your safety in mind.
Before lockdown, we provided our community with the option of using our incubator addresses at Merchiston and Craiglockhart campus as a registered business address. This is one of the services that will no longer be continuing due to the physical limitations involved in distributing and collecting mail. We want to ensure we are contributing to the safety of our community, and feel this is a service that does need to stop, at least for the immediate future.
Previously, we also offered our community members a hot-desking space in our business incubators at both Merchiston and Craiglockhart campus. With trimester one quickly approaching, our incubator spaces will be turned into teaching spaces for this next academic period to ensure safe social distancing for students and staff on campus. We will have a presence on campus, however this will be minimal during the coming trimester, and as such we will continue to offer the majority of our services digitally. Unfortunately, this does mean that our incubator spaces will not be available for our BRT members to use during trimester one. We will of course update you when and if this changes in future.
Appointments with our Business Advisers have never been busier, and we are continuing to offer this service online for our community. If you are already a BRT community member, we encourage you to utilise this free service as much as you need. If you are an Edinburgh Napier student, staff member, or alumni with an idea, side hustle, freelance gig, or growing business, we are still accepting new registrations and welcome you to join our enterprising community. Not only will you gain access to a supportive network of other entrepreneurs and professionals, but you will be able to book individual business advice appointments, attend events and workshops, and receive resources to help you build your business, for free and without time limit.
