Bright Red Sparks 2019

Tickets are now LIVE for our Bright Red Sparks 2019 Awards Dinner.

We are so excited to welcome our amazing enterprising community at Edinburgh Napier University to join us for our Bright Red Sparks Awards Dinner. We have made sure this year’s event is even BIGGER and BETTER than the year before! It is set to be an evening full of inspiration, celebration, and of course, loads of fun.

Freelance Workshop

In other news, we are happy to announce our first ever freelance workshop took place on the 7 March 2019, with 150 students signing up! The workshop took place in the Glassroom at Edinburgh Napier‘s Merchiston campus, and featured a fantastic panel of speakers who shared their experience of what it’s like being a freelancer.

APE International Boot Camp in Munich

In the meantime, our very own Nick Fannin spent a week in Munich with a group of Edinburgh Napier University students at the APE International Boot Camp. It was a busy week for Nick and team Napier, as they took part in a series of workshops around design thinking and entrepreneurship. Check out Nick’s blog for more details.

Next Generation Business: Shaping the New Economy

BRT took part in an event surrounding the global movement to use business as a force of good at Edinburgh Napier University’s Business School. Over 50 individuals attended, featuring guest speakers from Finisterre, Beryl, Echo Shoppe, Scotland CAN B, and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. The event provided a great platform for meaningful discussions around business for good and how we might shape a new economy centred on more than just profit.

From Our Community

Our BRT Coordinator, Vladimir Ivanov, recently contributed to Bleedin’ Saor’s Period Blether series. Bleedin’ Saor is a collaboration led by Edinburgh Napier University students, aimed at raising awareness around period poverty and tackling the stigma surrounding ‘that time of the month’
