Francesco Magagni and Edinburgh Students’ Music Movement

February 15, 2017

Meet the very enterprising Francesco Magagni, the Founder & Creative Director of Edinburgh Students’ Music Movement.  We introduced Francesco and his story in October 2016 and are amazed and completely inspired by the progress he has made. It looks like this one is going to be an evergreen!

Francesco came to Edinburgh in Jan 2015 and started a Master’s degree in International Events & Festival Management at Edinburgh Napier University. It was through his studies, finding inspiration and support provided by his lecturers, fellow students and Bright Red Triangle, that the first lyrics of the Edinburgh Students’ Music Movement were written.

Relocating to Edinburgh was of paramount importance for Francesco, as the city and the warmth of the people helped him develop both professionally and personally.

“Indeed, I have always been passionate about music, having run music events for more than 10 years. I decided to connect with Bright Red Triangle, as I believe they enhance people’s enterprising intuitions in exceptional ways…” – Francesco Magnani

The Edinburgh Students’ Music Movement held their first act on the 13th of November, 2016, in the Voodoo rooms. It was a night filled with amazing performances, spanning across two rooms, featuring artists from across Edinburgh Napier University, the University of Edinburgh, Queen Margaret University and Heriot-Watt University. It is quite hard to recreate such an event through words, but Francesco does it brilliantly!

Keep track of Francesco’s work. As he himself puts it, “It’s a music movement, you’ve got to follow the vibe”!
