We’re giving away £10,000 in prizes to our brilliant community.
With six categories to enter, there’s something for everyone – individuals and businesses alike.
PLUS we are hosting a very jazzy awards dinner on 11 April 2019 to announce our winners and throw a Bright Red Triangle community party #HellYeah.

If you have an exciting early-stage business idea, this category is for you. Open to all Edinburgh Napier University students, graduates, and staff.
For BRT community members who run a social enterprise or business with a social purpose. Don’t worry, if you’re not a BRT member yet – you can sign up first, then apply.
Individuals who have positively impacted their local community with a social or environmental focused project – this category is for you. Open to Edinburgh Napier students, graduates, and staff.
For our exceptional Junior Consultants (past & present) who have used their consultancy experience as a springboard for personal and/or career growth.
For BRT community members who have been running and scaling their business for more than one year with ambitious plans for growth.
Edinburgh Napier staff, if you have a module, project, or programme that gets our students involved in enterprise activities – we want to hear from you.

Business Model Canvas

Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a strategic management and lean startup template for developing new or documenting existing business models. You will need to complete a BMC and upload it to your application form if you are applying for the Bright Ideas, Business for Good, or Going for Growth categories.

A personal business model is the logic by which an individual creates and delivers something valuable to customers — and is paid for doing so.
No matter what category you are applying for – you will need to complete a 60 second video pitch. All pitch videos must be uploaded to YouTube (it can be made private) and then the link (and password, if applicable) added to your application form.
All pitches for those shortlisted into the Bright Red Sparks finals will be shown at our awards dinner on Thursday, 11 April 2019.

With your Business Model Canvas/YOU (if applicable), and your 60 minute pitch complete & uploaded to YouTube – you’re now ready to apply!
All you need to do is click the link below and head over to our application form. Answer the questions relevant to your entry, upload your Business Model Canvas/YOU, and add the link (and password, if required) to your 60 second video pitch, and that’s you in the running to win!
