Management, Governance and Ethical Finance Conference

April 17, 2019

On 10 April 2019 at Edinburgh Napier University’s Craiglockhart campus part of the BRT team had the pleasure of taking part in the Ethical Finance Conference organised by members

The conference featured local as well as international speakers and sparked thought provoking debate across all the participants. Wendy Wu, Incubator Manager at Craiglockhart, was invited to chair two panel discussions that took part in the afternoon of the first day of the conference.

The topic of the panels was funding social enterprise and delegates had the opportunity to listen to both sides of this industry. The first panel discussion featured members of investing bodies whose main target is the social enterprise sector, whilst the second panel discussion was social entrepreneurs talking about their experience in the sector and sharing challenges they came across throughout their journeys.

The session was kicked off by Sally-Ann Hunter, a strategy and funding consultant in the third sector.

This was followed by Chris Jamieson, Lead Fund Manager at Social Investment Scotland.
