Start-up Stories with Sydney Chasin, founder of The Lil’ Pops

October 20, 2020

Want to find out what being an entrepreneur is really like? Watch this!

Our Business Adviser, Victoria Bradley, interviews Sydney Chasin about her entrepreneurial journey.

Sydney is the founder of The Lil’ Pops, a US-based company that creates a range of ancient grain snack food products. The Lil’ Pops’ first product is popped sorghum – it’s like popcorn, but smaller, and it doesn’t get caught in your teeth!

Sydney started her entrepreneurial journey in her final year of studies at Edinburgh Napier University four years ago. It all kicked off when she won a Scottish Institute for Enterprise Fresh Ideas competition. Then one thing led to another and Sydney decided to take her idea and make it a reality.

If you’d like to find out about what becoming an entrepreneur is like, this is a start-up story not to miss. Sydney talks about how she came up with her business idea, and the challenges she’s faced along the way. We also get to hear a brilliant update on where The Lil’ Pops is now, and the company’s exciting plans for the future.

Below is a quote from the interview that we thought you’d enjoy. It is so true that perseverance is such a key characteristic that entrepreneurs all need.
