Scottish Institute for Enterprise

The Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) works nationally to develop and support enterprise and entrepreneurship in Scotland’s universities and colleges. The SIE creates opportunities for students to be innovative.

Cultural Enterprise Office

Cultural Enterprise Office (CEO) is Scotland’s only dedicated business support organisation for the Creative Industries. They provide accessible support in creating, scaling and growing a business.

Young Enterprise Scotland

Young Enterprise Scotland develop opportunities for young people across all of Scotland. (YES) is a registered charity that has been working to inspire young people to develop through enterprise in Scotland for over 25 years. They can provide access to workshops, training and potential funding.

Business Gateway

Business Gateway is a publicly funded service that provides access to free business support services in Scotland.  They give advice to people starting or growing their business through online support and funded workshops/events.

Scotland Can Do

Scotland Can Do issued a ‘shared statement of intent’ towards becoming a ‘world-leading entrepreneurial and innovative nation’. On their partners page, they list organisations who offer different kinds of help to businesses throughout the UK.

Women’s Enterprise Scotland

Women’s Enterprise Scotland is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company which works to create an entrepreneurial environment where women-led businesses can flourish. They inspire, advocate, influence and champion women in business.


The IPSE Magazine exists as a means to share relevant information with people who work for themselves. They are the UK’s largest representative body for the self-employed and they publish an inspiring mix of topics, covering everything you’ll need to better run your business.

Santander Talent has been supporting higher education in the UK since 2007. They provide funding to students and researchers to support entrepreneurship, internationalisation and employability.
