Who is eligible?
Please note: This guidance and the eligibility may change from time to time and we will update this page as soon as possible if this is the case.
This funding is available to women and non-binary entrepreneurs who have recently graduated from any discipline and course type at Edinburgh Napier University, including both short and long programmes. Our programmes and funding for women are inclusive of Trans and Intersex women, as well as non-binary and gender-diverse individuals.
All applicants will need to be registered on our Startium platform and have had at least one appointment with an Enterprise Manager in the last six weeks. You can sign up and book into our diaries here.
How much can you ask for?
You can ask for any amount up to £1000
What can I apply for?
This discretionary fund has been designed to be as open and flexible as possible, and we are open to you telling us what you feel you might need. Some examples might be:
- Childcare costs to allow you space to work on your business
- Fees for a training course you want to attend
- Materials for a product you have in development
- Travel costs for an event that could develop your network and business
- Software costs needed to run the business
- Insurance costs to pilot your business idea
Ultimately you are the expert in your idea, your business and YOU. So think about what might be useful on your journey and ASK.
How do you apply?
- You need to have had a meeting with one of our business advisors within the last six weeks.
- There is a short form to complete here.
- We will be in touch to talk through your application, if we need more detail, and will follow up with a decision in due course.
Is there a deadline to apply?
No, there is no deadline. You can apply at any point. If you apply during holiday periods it may take longer for us to respond to you.
How do we make decisions?
The Bright Red Triangle team will discuss your application confidentially and make a decision. We will be in touch with everyone who applies. We will offer feedback to those who were unsuccessful and everyone, whether successful or not, will be offered 1:1 support.
