The business creation course is delivered by certified gender-aware advisers and provides support for those interested in starting a business and those already in the start-up process. For those at the pre-start stage the course will help with ideas generation and matching existing skills to the skills needed when running a business.

Topics covered during the course include: idea generation and assessment; business planning; and understanding customers.

The Leadership course is designed to assist women to grow their leadership skills, progress their careers and play their part in the University achieving sustainable growth. The training will help participants increase their confidence in leadership by enabling them to strategically analyse their role against the University vision.

Support will be provided to develop, implement and evaluate strategies to achieve University goals using models and tools.

We are hosting the first Startup Huddle for women - a global first. We are already hosts to the Edinburgh chapter of the Global Entrepreneurship Network's Startup Huddles and look forward to exploring ways to support peer learning for women and non-binary people.
